Just looking at that picture makes me feel more relaxed.
I had to look at the whole gallery. I had no idea that the position of the hands carried such important messages.
Some of those hand positions are really beautiful. I especially like the Dharmachakra Mudra.
Reminds me a bit of Elliot Pattisons books and monks making silent mudras for which they have been imprisoned and tortured. Could you imagine loosing your freedom for making such a display?
Reminds me of Elliot Pattisons book series of Tibetan monk making silent mudras imprisoned and tortured in Chinese concentration camps. Could you imagine being confined and beaten for making such a display?
It’s amazing how much meaning can be conveyed with a single gesture.
