Free Advice from Animal Communicator, Madeleine Walker

animal communicatorsDear Madeleine,

I have a beautiful broodmare. Bitsie lost her first foal this spring. She is a very skittish girl, sometimes not wanting to be touched. She is the alpha mare and does a lot of head tossing to the others or even if she is standing alone. She came from a very respectable breeder but they were not the original owners. I am nothing but gentle and loving to her? Trying to understand to fix this... thanks.

Cheryl

Hi Cheryl,
Bitsie may just be still very sensitive to the other horses and feel the need to show her dominance even from a distance standing alone. Not wanting to be touched may also be a way of controlling you. Reward her good behaviour and hopefully she'll get the message. Head tossing can have more serious conotations, this can be something less serious like pollen allergies, but if you are worried about her health in any way do get her checked by your veterinarian.

Best wishes,
Madeleine Walker,
