Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Babies
I have been reading, browsing really, Chrissie Blaze's new book Baby Star Signs, Your Guide to Better Parenting is in the Stars!. Baby Star Signs is organized in much the same way most "astrological cookbooks" are. The meanings of the three dominant astrological signs (sun, moon, rising) are explained. Each person is a combination of these three signs, and this is also true of your baby. Each of the twelve zodiac signs are described. Parents are asked to read each of the three signs that make-up their baby's personal sun-moon-rising combo. Chrissie says babies grow into the qualities reflected in their sun signs. She describes the rising sign as your baby's "personal signature." The rising shows up in the general first impression and physical appearance of your child.
I'm an empty-nester so it is a bit late for me to get astrological parenting advice. But, as a new grandmother I do appreciate any insights I can glean about my new Gemini-Sun grandson. His star-sign-combo is Gemini (sun), Leo (moon) and Scorpio (rising star). According to Chrissie's guidebook my little grandson's sun nature indicates that he is very intelligent (of course!) and will be an early talker (time will tell). His leo side will express a zest for life (he is squealing already) and a lovable disposition. His scorpio ascendant will reflect a magnetic personality with a dramatic flair. Of course, I'm cherry picking the positive traits. Each astrological chart has life lessons attached to it, so I'm certain my daughter and son-in-law will experience a mixture of joys and struggles while rearing him.
Baby Star Signs is a survival guide for parents during the early years of a child's life, from birth through age three. Parents are helped with what to expect in food preferences and eating behaviors, sleeping habits, motor skills, communication, and socialization according to sun, moon, and rising signs.
