Do You Talk to Trees?

Monday August 4, 2008
trees One of our frequent Holistic Healing forum members posted about her recent walk experience and feeling sadness from an Oak along her path. She runs into a cougar on the walking trail so you'll want to read about her adventure.

Melissa says "Okay, some of you may think this is crazy, but I have to tell you what just happened. I went hiking on my usual trail. It is a very steep and rugged trail so I rarely see anyone. I always go to a few big oaks to pay my respects. I have been reading about nature communication and animal communication, so I was thinking about that when I went to this first oak. I really got a feeling of saddness from her..." Read rest of Melissa's message: A Gift from a Tree.

Anyway, I never thought it was crazy to talk to trees, but I guess some people might think so. Melissa's message prompted me to post a forum poll Do You Talk to Trees? And, if you do talk to trees, whatever do you say?

(1) Tanneitha says:

Not only do I talk to trees, I have heard them scream in agony after being storm-broken, and moan in quiet despair after their broken branches are left to die, and no human comes to tend them with a clean chainsaw cut, instead of the splintered, shattered wood just being left to hang.
