Before the sun got too hot this afternoon I went outside and gathered some posies from our flower garden for a bouquet. The various flower devas were speaking to me as I was arranging my bouquet. They whispered into my inner ear "Flowers have a deeper purpose beyond being pretty." I nod in response to this because of course I know this to be true about flowers. Whenever I gather blossoms for making flower essence tinctures I feel a great respect for the healing properties they possess and am amazed at the many ways flower teach humans about ourselves. But today, I was only wanting to pick some posies and enjoy their beauty.
After my bouquet was put on display on my kitchen table I went back outdoors with my camera. I'm not very good at taking photos but I snapped some anyway. I soon recruited my husband who was outdoors tanning himself to take some close-up shots. I don't sunbathe myself, preferring to protect my skin. I wish he wouldn't. But as he reminds me, I'm not the boss of him. Anyway, to tan or not to tan is a different subject. He is the better photographer between the two of us so I knew he would assure me a few better garden shots.
Some of the flower photos taken from our flower garden were of baby's breath, bee balm, coral bells, red yarrow, butterfly weed, and standing cypress.
These photos are for my flower profiles in my flower essence remedy index that I work on periodically. I am hopeful that the flowers are pleased to serve as teachers in this way on the Internet. I currently have over fifty flower profiles, although they don't all have photos alongside the text. Just like my garden grows, so does my flower essence remedy index.

Hi Phylameana. I would love to get into making and using flower essences. It is a great idea for myself, but not so much for my husband. He is a former alcoholic and will not touch any alcoholic beverages. Is there any other way I can preserve and serve the essences so that I can share the healing with him? Thanks so much for your help. Kathy
Kathy, Yes. You can.
