Law of Attraction Success Stories

By , About.com Guide   December 5, 2007

Follow me on:

It was approximately one year ago when Rhonda Byrne's book and movie The Secret became a media phenomenon. The Law of Attraction is not a new theory, it has been around for a very long time, but in 2006-2007 it was getting spotlighted at every turn. I even kept a month-long blog diary, Affirmative Project - Living in an Affirmative Light, in January 2007. I have experienced an abundant year. How about you? I predict that the LOA is going to see a second round of fame come January 2008, its theory goes hand in hand with making New Year resolutions.

Have you been applying the LOA in a positive way in your life this year? I'm interested in hearing about your LOA success stories.

Kittie shares her success story:

I have had an extreme life change this year, I became divorced this past year. I insist on life being good to me and all things are going to be good. a few months ago I told my sons of my stringent list of requirements for a companion in my life they both laughed and told me I better be ready to grow old alone, well I just smiled and said I believe 100% that the right man is out there. Well I do believe I have met him! The past month has been awesome, why because I ask I believed now I have received. See list below of my stringent requirements.

  • truthful
  • loyal
  • affectionate
  • appreciative of a lot of attention
  • positive
  • clean
  • Christian
  • supportive
  • trusting
Please share your Law of Attraction success stories.

After my gerbil Donut died, I thought it would be a long time before I could find another like him. I thought the little orange teeth were from all the donuts.

But they all have little orange teeth!

I firmly believe in the power of the LOA. I was very unhappy with my job & my marriage. I made a list of what I felt I needed. Now 1 year later I have a great job and my marriage is AWESOME.

(5) Branwen says:

My LOA story focused more on my internal needs. Not that I didn’t have big material requests and desires, I still do, but for one reason or another my inner life was where the most change occurred this past year of 2007.
First my body image changed and with that I changed how I feel about me; thinking thoughts that make me feel good about myself instead of horrible. As that took hold I expanded my focus onto my relationships getting rid of the ones that cause me to feel badly. I began to set limits with people who demanded and expected more than I wanted to give. Then I was able to finally shake free of my Christian religion and its confining reality. I feel free for the very first time in my life! I am happy, joyful and the world is full of new possibilies that I am now focusing on. The Law of Attraction does work in ways I could not have imagined.

(6) Glenda says:

After thinking for years about contacting people from my past, I now have the boyfriend that i dated 20 years ago back in my life, two friends that i hadn’t seen in over 40 years, an aunt and an uncle which i had lost contact with, and a guy at work that turned out to have the same aunt and uncle and cousins as me, only on the other side of the family, which put me in contact. OK, that’s just too much coincidence. I believe in LOA already!! I got the boyfriend back two years ago, but all the rest happened within the last 3 months. the two old friends were found because I was having trouble getting a passport and looking for old school records. they had both been looking for me! I still don’t have the pass-port, but I’m sure to get it!

(7) Lisa says:

Whew! The year in review! Let’s see. Last year saw many changes for me on a variety of levels. I wanted to start my own massage therapy business. Zero clients. By December of 2007, I now have my own Mobile Massage business with 3 clients. I opened my OWN room that I sublet, having now a total of 10 clients. I am still employed at a high-end salon, with inter-national clients coming to see ME! I can only begin to imagine what the New Year holds for me!

On a personal level, my teenaged daughter was hospitalized in the spring for suicidal thoughts, depression and cutting. She has since revealed that she has been raped and molested since she was 8. Upon further talking to my other daughters, they, too were molested by the same family member – my oldest son. I regained custody of my daughter. I, too, fought and won the battle of depression. My sister has since decided that she can no longer be my friend since my life is too hectic for her – and she doesn’t approve of my religious choices. And my life mate and I had our own battles with communication.

However, through practicing the LOA, focusing on my business and my personal life, extremely difficult at times, has brought me closer to my Life Mate and my daughters and my business is booming! My sister still has to work on herself, but I can only be an example, right?

Brightest Blessings, Peace and Love in 2008!

(8) Kelly says:

I started reading Law of Attraction by Michael Losier in March. I wrote down 3 categories: relationship, career, money. I went through the exercises, did some gratitude journaling. Then I realized that I hadn’t really put the job I wanted, but what I thought I could get, so I revised. And left it alone (though I have tried to change my language).

Since then, my very up and down relationship with a commitment phobe has completely turned around, I am about to achieve my dream of freelancing and last night I had a phone meeting with a successful author who I might get to work for (on a project that meets ALL of my LOA criteria for career).

I struggle still with the money one, but I have not focused as much attn there as I could.

This is in 2 months. I cannot wait to see what the rest of the year holds.

(9) Singapore Student says:

The LOA had helped me become one of the top scorers in my stream during my O-Levels in 2008!
I managed to get A1 2 subjects which i’ve panicked when completing the exam.
But I watched the Secret over and over again, downloaded the audio book version into my MP3 and listen to it every day..

I visualised my name being shown on the big screen during the results day.. Although it’s almost impossible to believe, but I still make myself believe that the goal is already accomplised fact.
And it is now fact.
Just believe in the law.

I would recommend all the buy “The Secret” book version as it’s much more detailed than the actual film.

(11) Kieran says:

Nice.. But dictating what religion he would be is like choosing his race. It’s disgusting.

(12) Annie says:

I don’t think so, Kieran. Even choosing his race wouldn’t be disgusting. Preferring Christians or whites to other religions and races _in a partner_ (not in friends) is nothing worse than preferring rock music lovers to R&B lovers. It doesn’t mean she hates all the rest, it just means that’s her preference in a guy.
My ideal guy has long hair but that doesn’t mean I think short-haired guys are inferior :)

(13) J says:

Kieran – completely different. Race does not dictate someones beliefs and moral code. Religion can and does. :)

(14) Nikki Roberts says:

The law of attraction really works. It has changed my life for the better in so many ways that it is impossible to list them all on here. It has healed my chronic depression and brought me a warm and loving family. In fact it has had such a profound effect on my life that I have started my own blog to share with others how they too can change their lives for the better! It’s at http://the-universal-law.blogspot.com/
Thanks!

Any tips please please please…I really want to improve i just still DONT think its possible. Passing math is impossible…..:(

(16) Melissa says:

LOA, is about your thoughts and the way you feel. If you feel sad and keep on thinking about negative things yous are attracting negative things back to you. For example, people focus on the things they dont want out of life more than what they want, putting out more nagtive energy therefor attracting it back…. Your thoughts become things. And you saying “i DONT think its possible” is completely negative, making the cycle come back to you.Think about positive thing, feel good. When you find yourself in a bad mood MAKE yourself Happy. You can do anything with your mind…. What you have to do is ask, You have to ask what you really want, (to be good at math), then you have to believe it, completely believe that you are going to be awesome at math, and focus more on the end result than along the way. And the last thing you have to recieve! You will become good at math, it is completely possible! You have the capability, you can do anything you want :) Watch the movie the secret. It explains lots. Or read the book. I hope i help and made a little sence :P Good luck! you can doo it

(17) Lawrence Foo says:

I read about the Power of Positive Thinking and the Law of Attraction years ago but could not really understand what they meant. May be this was because I did not try to find the deeper meaning of it.

However, I have heard talks by Wayne Dyer, Esther Hicks, Louise Hay, Robert Smith. Gary Craig and so on.

I am now fully convinced that the Law of Universal has truth in its implication. Many of my Christian friends are sceptical over the Law of Universal but what they need to know is that some Biblical Verses are indeed Laws of Universal and common sense.

@ Tilly
the first thing ure doing wrong is that u think that no matter how hard u study math u’ll fail. U really will every time if u think like that.
Have more faith in yourself and math will seem like a cakewalk.Think positively and it’ll do u wonders.
