Hummingbird Teaches Joy and Sweetness
Thursday August 9, 2007
When the hummingbird totem visits we are reminded to appreciate the sweetness life offers. We have all heard the saying "Stop to Smell the Roses" and understand this means to slow down and enjoy life. The hummingbird teaches a similar lesson asking us to bury our noses more deeply and inhale the fragrant nectars. Life offers much joy and sweetness if we take the time to breathe it in.
Michelle Lamb, Reiki practitioner, recently rescued a baby hummingbird that flew into a glass window in her home. Her two young sons helped her offer it some love and Reiki energies before sending it on its way back to its home. You can see some more photos of this touching act of love at Michelle's Web site, www.heavenlyscent.net

this is so touching, hummingbirds and butterflys are so dear to me, this is a beautiful site, good pictures. i believe when a hummingbird or butteryfly comes close to you ,it is a message from God.
I love this post! We recently had a catbird hanging out in our yard. It came right up to us, even sat on the lawnmower handle, and followed us around as we did yardwork. He was acting in a very un-birdlike manner, and was fun to have around.
Hi Gene and Mary,
I want to Thank-You both for taking the time to share your comments. It means a lot to me and I really appreciate it! I love it when natures little angels come to visit us. They are so much fun and it fills my heart with lots of Love & Happiness. Thanks again!
