Forget about stuffing any leftover Christmas sugar cookies in your mouth as a substitute for breakfast. Felicia Drury Kliment, author of The Acid Alkaline Balance Diet says "One hard and fast rule all dieters should follow: no junk food before breakfast. A junk-food snack first thing in the morning ferments and putrefies in the stomach.
