Reader asks hypothetical question about the Law of Attraction:
If you are wanting to become a great pianist or painter, but you have never done it before and you use the law of attraction (raising energy vibration, etc.) will you become a great pianist, painter, etc.?Thanks,

Answer: Hi Kathleen,
My short answer: Nope!
The long answer: Maybe. I guess I shouldn't be so quick to say no. I mean, who am I to be so negative? But, I think the power behind the "Law of Attraction" is having a clear mind set of the outcome desired. For example, I cannot sing in key. It's sad, but it's a fact. I'd love to be able to sing better and I could probably improve my singing voice if I took voice lessons. But, become a good, or even great singer? No Way! Becoming a great singer, pianist, or painter would take tons of practice in my "mind set." I don't have the dedication or the desire to accomplish this so I simply cannot wrap this idea of becoming "great" around my brain. However, I think a person could mainfest becoming famous as a singer much easier than manifesting the talent. Just look what has happened to William Hung from American Idol. His dream is to make music his career.

Personally, I don’t think this question is answerable as asked. The Law of Attraction always works in conjunction with focused action. If Kathleen is wondering if she can become great at something JUST by raising her vibration and NOT taking focused action, the answer is no. If however, she is wondering if by combining focused action with a conscious and continuous raising of her vibration, I would say yes, absolutely.

I agree with Edward. Although manifesting talent probably needs decidedly more focused action than manifesting fame, I wouldn’t rule it out. Remember, with the Law of Attraction, you can’t envision the path, only the destination. There are many ways that becoming famous at something that you aren’t even’t good at could manifest into your life - as long as you focus and believe.

The interesting thing about talent is that researchers have shown pretty conclusively that there is not such thing. Yes, it’s hard to believe. But what they’re seeing is that talent is really just an outcome of focused, intentional training combined with some serious passion for the subject. So I would say that both “talent” and fame are achievable through Law of Attraction intending combined with focused action.

YOU decide what’s possible for you and what it takes to achieve it. The only thing limiting you are your beliefs. My suggestion is not to let anyone else dictate what’s possible and what isn’t for you. Miracles, magic and impossible happen all the time!

No. Singing/Dancing/Playing an instrument/Acting require an inborn genetic predisposition. Drawing/Painting are more viable and can be learned, so Yes on this one…i,e..I am an entertainer and musician…no matter how hard I try to “Learn” and study about Physics,Chemistry, Mathematics etc. I just don’t “get it”. My True Self is the Artist/Performer and that is where I am happiest…
If you can only do what you are already quite good at or genetically pre disposed to, why have a law of attraction? For years, I have believed in the law of attraction and have used it tolose weight UNSUCCESSFULLY. I asked ( desperately ), believed it but never received it to the extent I wanted… why? because deep down I was still a fat girl in my mind’s eye. Nothing can be done on a conscious level… make sure your energy is so intense that your sub conscious is open to receiving it. Then, anything is POSSIBLE!
