Are You Plugged Into Your Soul-Source?
Thursday July 20, 2006
I experienced a hard-drive crash five days ago. It feels more like two weeks or longer. I don't particularly like the feeling of being "disconnected." Being without the capability to have Internet access on a 24/7 basis made me feel out-of-touch AND out-of-sorts. Not getting my normal dose of computer-juice was a bit unsettling. Of course, the timing wasn't so great either. My crash happened on Saturday evening. My computer couldn't be delivered to an out of town repair shop until Monday, which happened to be the same day that we were expecting delivery of a new mattress. This delayed my trip to take my computer in for its examination until Tuesday.
After twenty-eight years of sleeping on a waterbed I decided to give one of those memory foam mattresses a try. Oh, my gosh. I had a couple of restless nights. It wasn't the easiest thing for me to adjust to sleeping on a strange mattress when my mind was trying to recollect all the data that I had failed to back-up.
Lost data meant only about twelve days of emails and documents since I had recently backed up much of my files. Luckily, I wasn't sweating profusely. Nonetheless, I did panic and worry some. There is never a good time for a hard-drive crash. I also was trying my best to look at this situation optimistically. A Lesson in Letting Go maybe? Or, an impromptu housecleaning project?
Anyway, I finally feel much better today because I'm plugged-in once again. I am sighing deeply in relief that all my data was retrievable. Supposedly, nothing was lost although I'm finding files in some strange places on my new hard-drive. Some of my prefs were wrecked, but nothing major to complain about. My tech guy was really helpful. I am very grateful for all his assistance and sympathy. Let's just say Rick gets my GURU Geek Award. I upgraded to the newest operating system on my new drive and also decided to go wireless... cutting the cord you might say. Okay, not really, but it gave me a chance to link to one of my favorite articles.

Are You Plugged-IN to your Soul-Source?
Being disconnected from the Internet symbolizes for me how we can become disconnected from a more important source, our Soul-Source (or you may call this your divine self, inner knowledege, God-power, higher awareness, or something else). We have all experienced feeling disconnected from our Soul-Source. These are the times when we experience sadness, loneliness, depression, etc.
Our Soul-Source is from where we draw our strengths and where we "re-remember" what the purpose or path we have chosen to follow as we live out our lives. When this connection is broken or severed we feel tired and sluggish and can become quite ill, also prone to accidents. Everything takes effort and even minor problems feel like major challenges. Is it time for you to reconnect with your Soul-Source and recharge yourself? Here are some ways to help you do just that!

I hope you are better now
Best wishes
Yes Ollin, I am feeling much better now, thank you for asking. I am back to my normal computing routine, trying catch-up is also normal for me.
The new mattress? Well, that may take a little longer for me to adjust to.
