Carnival of Healing #33

Saturday March 11, 2006
Welcome to the 33rd edition of the Carnival of Healing. This is the 3rd week in a row that I've hosted the carnival. Do I see a theme of threes happening here? Or is that just a coincidence? I'm not a believer of coincidence. Coincidence is just a word used to disregard any significance of synchronicity. Although I often need to remind my over-analytical self that sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

Only three carnival submissions were received this week.

Heidi Mapp, Frugal Wisdom From Wenchypoo's Warehouse posts The Capitalism of Conscience. Heidi feels that consumers become more conscious of how and where they spend their money will be the next megatrend.

We are slowly awakening to the truths about our society and what it’s doing to our world, and it’s starting to weigh on our conscience. We will do better for ourselves and our beliefs by voting with our wallets...
Laurie NaturalRemedies's blog sweetens up our carnival by suggesting that we eat more sweet potatoes Here are just 3 of the 16 benefits Laurie lists for eating these nutritionous 'tators:

1. If you bruise easily - eat more sweet potatoes
2. Prevents and slows down the onset of Osteoporosis
3. Great for keeping your skin looking young and supple

Sweet potatoes are full of natural sugars that are great for you! As with most orange vegetables - it is EXTREMELY high in Beta-carotene, vitamin A, even more so than broccoli and tomatoes, which is a great anti-oxidant but don’t forget to eat the skin - that is in fact the more healthy part! They are also low in fat and high in vitamin E, vitamin B6, iron and potassium, fiber, copper, folic acid...
Note: I normally eat at least one sweet potato each week. For supper tonight we are planning on having a green salad, grilled tuna, and baked sweet potato. I eat my sweet potatoes plain, with no butter or brown sugar added. It's sweet e'nuf on its own.

Bill Loucas submits Alpha State Affirmations for deep emotional healing. Bill says that thismeditation technique which utilizes entrainment aids is similar to hypnosis.

Although the alpha state may be induced satisfactorily by meditative skills, an interesting and helpful aid in learning how to achieve this state is through the use of entrainment technology. Entrainment means applying an outside influence on the brain to bring the vibrations to the desired level. Entrainment may be effected through several avenues, however using sound, is easy and effective. The sound vibration is coordinated with the target brainwave frequency. When consciously used along with the proper exercises, the alpha state can be achieved effortlessly.
A final 3 - Last night I dreamed of 3 of my deceased relatives.

Last week the 32nd edition of the carnival was hosted at Spiral Visions Blog

Next week the carnival will be taking a break...

On Saturday March 25, Brendan McPhillips has volunteered to host the carnival. This will be Brendan's first time hosting so I'm looking forward to seeing how Brendan presents the carnival. Each host gives our carnival a personal flavor.

Thank you to all the carnival attendees for being such loyal followers!

Attention Bloggers: We are interested in your healing blog posts for future carnival attractions. Submit your healing blog posts
