Carnival of Healing #3

Saturday August 13, 2005
Welcome to the 3rd edition of the Carnival of Healing! The theme of this week's Carnival of Healing is primarily of Letting Go.

Looking ahead: Next week the carnival will begin traveling to new places. I will be hosting the Carnival of Healing Roadshow from my home turf at spiralvisions.com. From there it will make at least a couple of more stops before returning to About Holistic Healing. Check the carnival hosting schedule to see who is hosting the carnival in upcoming weeks. Also, if you are interested in hosting the carnival at your blog please email me at healing.guide@about.com

Okay, let's get this carnival underway: What are you clinging on to that no longer serves you?

Daily Babble: Scott Swanson posted "It's time to just let go of all the nonsense" back in January of this year. I wonder if Scott followed through on "letting go" or if he started accumulating new stuff to fill in the empty spaces?

Personal Development: Unraveling the Mortality Conundrum - Steve Pavlina contemplates how he would spend his last day as a human being. He suggests we free ourselves from an ordinary day and instead live that day out with that same intention. He writes "Consider taking one day out of your life to have that experience now."

foofy cloud (Life Journal) says "It's hard to know what's worth holding onto sometimes"

See You In The Shadows: Andrew, a poet, says in his prose "sometimes we just have to let some things go"

John Heron Project: The Pain Collector - A symbolic way of pinning down past problems and leaving them behind.

Unrestrained: Condition of the Heart - Crystal, a self-proclaimed Born Again, reflects on her own spirituality in regard to passing judgements and the meaning of unconditional (not conditional or limited, absolute, surrender). She says "Sometimes we hold onto the things so long we forget they are there."

dubiousproundity: Step-Moms Also Cry
Mitch Geller attempts to referee battles between "Menopausal" and "Adolescent" A man's perspective about an explosive relationship between a menopausal mom and her teenaged step-daughter. Relationships--- you gotta love 'em or leave 'em.

Critical Mastiff - Looking to the flipside of "letting go" Mastiff writes about the importance of "holding on." He gives an example of himself as a climber grasping onto handholds and securing footholds in his struggles toward reaching the top. He further reflects on pride and the importance of identity. Thoughtful post, thanks for sharing!

The Carnival of Healing is a weekly round-up of healing information from blogs all over the Internet. To have your blog or personal site featured in a future carnival round-up please submit your entry here.
