Ear Candling Testimony
Monday March 7, 2005
Reader Response - I have taken a course in Ear Candling. I was not convinced of its claims. I do not believe that the wax found in the bottom of the cone came from my ear. But what I do know is that the vacuum created with this method does do something for the person experiencing the process.
The vacuum allows for the warmth to travel to the membrane inner ear and the smoke does something for the membrane of the ear as well. I liken this to an experience as a child. I had many earaches and my parents did not know what to do about the painful earaches that I often experienced. They were nonsmokers and believed that smoking was a sin. But when they couldn't get my crying to stop they went to the neighbors to get a cigarette. Dad would blow the smoke into my ear and it would stop the pain. I believe the warmth, smoke and likely the nicotine all contributed to the numbing of the earache. Take it for what it worth.
Sincerely,
Margaret-Ann
