4th of July Features

Wednesday July 2, 2003
Whatever your plans are for Independence Day please be sure to take extra precautions. Be safe!

My husband and I aren't planning on celebrating the 4th of July with a party or picnic this year. It will please me to simply relax a quiet afternoon away on the porch swing and enjoy sipping fresh squeezed lemonade while reading a good book. Quiet? Well, perhaps aside from the occasional firecracker blasts that will surely emerge from behind our alley way. We live a couple of blocks from a golf course where a fireworks display is hosted each year. We will head off with our lawn chairs in hand at dusk and secure a front row seat and enjoy our evening entertainment. The best fireworks display I ever viewed was over the Rainbow Bridge at Niagara Falls on Canada Day in 1992. Glorious!

I did some perusing of the About Guide sites briefly today in order to share some 4th of July features that might interest you.
